From Founding Pastor

I have been telling this church lately that I appreciate each one who considers CCAC as their spiritual family.

The longer I serve the more I discover my inadequacy. Which sinner is qualified to lead others into Christ‘s likeness? I used to believe, the longer we live, the more sanctified we become. While this is true, I also discover the longer we live, the more we uncover the depth of our depravity and the set pattern of our character faults, and therefore our unworthiness to serve.

I now truly understand the humility of apostle Paul, when he started his ministry he considered himself as the least of the apostles ( 1Cor.15:9 ), later on he describes himself as the least of saints ( Eph.3:8 ), and finally by the end of his earthly life; he announced he was the least of all sinners ( 1Tim.1:15-16 ).

I love grace, I need it, I hope you think so too. We need grace for our own weaknesses. We need grace to handle not so nice people. Without it I cannot live each day, let alone ministering to the saints or witnessing to those without Christ. I refer you to bible teaching on humility and grace like 1Pet.5:5-6

“All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time”

I once understood truth in a sense that it is correct, right. Now, I have a new definition of biblical truth: It is not only perfectly correct but a life sustaining element, something that I absolutely need and must depend on daily, like oxygen and water.

Little wonder the greatest apostle, Paul mentioned numerous times he received grace from God. What he constantly required he had to remind himself often, so that he would not become complacent. I wish I had learnt this lesson earlier.

One of my favourite songs is ”How could I”
True. There is so much we are thankful of.
Our Lord Jesus proclaimed, “he who has been forgiven little loves little.” ( Lk.7:47 )
I want to love God more by appreciation of the immeasurable quantity of His forgiveness. This is the source of my motivation and passion to live and minister.

I feel honoured and privileged to serve my Lord. Real honour and glory belongs to Him.

This is my journey in the last 10 years. I can see some CCAC believers are also growing in God's grace.

May CCAC be a church full of grace from our Lord.
