Vision of Christian Chinese Library
The founders of Christian Chinese Library feel that many people have no chance to read Christian Chinese books, there are two reasons, one is that the Christian bookrooms are becoming less and less, and the other is that church library or theological college library do not open for public to borrow. If one cannot read the Christian books, how can one understand Christianity in depth, if one cannot understand Christianity in depth, how can one write a book or story to glorify God.
On the other side, due to the impact of popular mass media (facebook, youtube), lesser people is willing to purchase Christian books, most Christian bookroom are now run in red, since they cannot store too many books in one bookroom, many good Christian book are neglected, and the fruits of many authors are in vain.
In such circumstance, the dream of establishing Christian Chinese Library finally come true, and was successfully registered as a charitable organization on 13 August, 2014 preparing to create a new page for the Chinese Christian residing in Australia.
Objectives of Christian Chinese Library
(1) “Library platform”
Providing Christian books for public to read and borrow. Readers can search on the website, understand the contents first,
then pre-book before coming to pick up.
(2)“Reading group platform”
Providing an opportunity for readers to read together in depth of their favourable books. Different reading groups will be
organized in different place at different time, led by different leaders to read different books. All people whether believing or
non-believing are welcome to join for reading.
Providing a space on website to encourage Christian to write, to subscribe and to share with others.
Those people migrating to Australia, sometime, feel helpless. If one wants to find someone to help, they need to search randomly from the local newspaper, they are deemed to be lucky if their problems are finally resolved. But if one wants to find a “Cantonese” or “Mandarin” Christian for help, then it will become difficult.
On the other hand, many good Christian business men and professional people want to serve the need, but there is no proper channel to communicate out, even if there is, the advertising rate is high. In order to “match” the mutual need, the website of Christian Chinese Library provide a “Christian Business Directory platform”, providing “basic business information”(similar to yellow page) in FREE, so that the readers can find the right person to solve their needs. Further, once they find the business address,
they simply push the button, the Google map will appear, then they can use GPS to go to the location easily. Christian business can offer their best service to serve the needs as a witness to God in their marketplace.
If those people residing in Australia or some foreigners want to find a right church for them, it is difficult to get a good solution. In order to match their needs, the website of Christian Chinese Library provide a “Church/Christian Organization Directory platform”, providing “basic church information”(similar to yellow page) in FREE, so that the readers can find the right church or Christian organization to solve their needs. Further, once they find the address, they simply push the button, the Google map will appear, then they can use GPS to go to the location easily. Church and Christian organization can offer their best service to serve the needs as well as to preach gospel to them as a witness to God.
Annual Financial Budget of Christian Chinese Library
The financial budget for operating Christian Chinese Library is estimated for A$50,000. We expect 100 people can contribute A$500 each annually, then we can serve the people in Australia, thus glorifying God and making more people obtaining blessing from God.
